Disappointed

I copy foreign dramas to my iPhone all the time. I was happy with vlc first. And then one day /probably after update/ subtitles disappeared. Never came back. Subtitle files cannot be copied anymore? And then I purchased full version for hoping to unlock subs. It was total waste of money. I purchased xtreme player after that. Is there any way to get my money back?
